What Is Fuel Stability?
Fuel stability refers to diesel fuel's ability to resist chemical degradation over time. Unstable fuel forms gums, varnishes, and sediment that clog filters and injectors. Standard ULSD begins degrading within 6-12 months of refining. Biodiesel blends degrade even faster. Fuel stabilizer additives extend diesel storage life by preventing oxidation and preserving fuel quality for 12+ months.
